Charity

Alex is desperate. Stuck working as a charity fundraiser, Alex needs to continue to earn commissions in order to provide for his young family and ever growing list of expenses. Arriving at Rebecca’s affluent-looking house, his charm guarantees an invitation inside;  he’s sure this sell will be an easy win. However, when Rebecca gets an emergency call with no means of transport, Alex suddenly finds himself becoming the help he was minutes ago attempting to sell. At the hospital it’s crunch time; Alex needs to get Rebecca’s donation and move on if he’s to have any hope of earning real money today. But Rebecca’s situation is just as desperate. Can the two of them strike a deal where they both benefit? When an unexpected visitor arrives and Alex and Rebecca’s plans are shattered, Alex will have to decide just how far he’s willing to go to raise the money he needs. 

Charity is an ironic tragicomedy full of life that questions the true meaning of charity in our society.
